South Exit: Route 212 East Exit: Route 209 West Exit: Route 208 Access To: Amity Square Hearthome City is a city near the centre of the main island of Sinnoh. It's a large city which has many amenities to encounter. First, there is the Poffin House which allows you to create Poffins to allow your Pokémon to have improved stats and physique for the Super Contests. The Pokémon Fan Club is also located within this city. In the north of the city is access to the special Amity Square and near the tnrance is Mr. Goods who gives out various base decorations if you complete specific tasks he set. Super Contests At the top of the city is the Contest Hall. In this hall, you can partake in the many Super Contests in which you have your Pokémon dress-up and appeal. Within these contests, you earn a multitude of ribbons. Each move has a special type for Contests and a special effect. Gym The Hearthome City Gym is the most changed gym in Sinnoh. In Diamond & Pearl, it was the fifth gym and opened up after you met Fantina in the Super Contest Hall. In the gym, you had to progress up multiple levels by opening doors and hoping it provided a lift upwards. If it didn't, you had to fight a trainer. In Platinum, the gym is the third gym and has you navigating a maze through a dark room, having given you a torch to navigate. Various trainers follow through the maze and will battle you if you're spotted. At the end is the Ghost-type leader; Fantina. Defeating Fantina allows you to use HM05; Defog in Platinum and HM03; Surf in Diamond & Pearl Flyable to?: Yes
