Exploud

Exploud, The Loud Noise Pokémon. It emits a variety of sounds from the holes all over its body. Its loud cries can be heard from over six miles away. It triggers earthquakes with the tremors it creates by bellowing. If it violently inhales from the ports on its body, it's a sign that it is preparing to let loose a huge bellow. It communicates its feelings to the others by emitting whistle-like sounds from the tubes on its body. It only raises its voice when it is in battle.

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Exploud would have to be this:

Attacks:

Return
Earthquake
Fire Blast
Shadow Ball

Items Attached:

Salac Berry
LeftOvers

Preferred Nature:

Lonely/Naive

Strategy Using Exploud

With such a wide movepool and above average attack stats, Exploud can be utilized in many ways.
This set works ideally if you have baton passed Speed and/or attack from another pokemon. If you don't have such a baton passer, you may want to use Howl as a move ( this can be a possibility over EarthQuake or Fire-Blast)
Since it can't be roared away, it is great on the receiving end of baton passes, since those stat gains aren't lost by Roar (though whirlwind will still be a problem)
It can use Counter effectively, but Exploud is designed to be a sweeper. 104 Speed Evs on a neutral nature make its Speed 198 - which combined with 2 speed ups outruns Jolteon & co.
Another thing to note is that it has 101 Subs, for anyone who wants an 'abstract' Exploud. Shame it can't learn Focus punch, it would've made a nice Skarmbliss counter.

EV Corner:

Max out the EVs in Speed and Attack for Exploud with any remaining in HP

Strategy Against Exploud

Exploud is one of the more underrated Pokémon within the game, however it is rather unique and usable above other Pokémon for one reason, Soundproof. Combined with the right amount of prediction and a good Baton Passer, Exploud can become a formidable foe.
- If Exploud gets its hands on a Speed (and preferably attack) pass and it can become a powerful aggressor. Sticking a Skarmory (and his other high Defence steel buddies) in the way won't work, since it has access to a wide array of Special Attacks and has the stats to use them. Haze is your best bet to stop Exploud from using its Baton Pass set up.
- I'd advise hurting Exploud's Special Defence, since with High HP and access to Counter, it is possible to be caught off guard by the occasional Countering Exploud. Still, either defence can be capitalised on.

Contest Moveset

A good Contest Moveset for Exploud would have to be this for the Cool Contest best with Lonely, Adament, Naughty or Brave Nature:

Attacks:

Rain Dance
ThunderPunch
Shock Wave
Hyper Beam

Items Attached:

Red Scarf

Strategy Using Exploud

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Rain dance, 2nd - Thunderpunch, 3rd - Rain dance, 4th - Thunderpunch, 5th - Hyperbeam

Locations in Games

Animé Appearences

Exploud has had a few Animé Appearences. In it, it evolved in a battle with Ash's Treecko and ran away from it's trainer. However it soon got the will to fight again and continued it's battle with Ash's Grovyle. The Rest are Cameos
