Shining Pokémon
Associated Sets:
Neo Revelation
Neo Destiny
Shining Pokémon were introduced in the Neo Series to represent the newly released alternate coloured Pokémon. They are incredibly rare within the sets and show as a 3 Starred rarity.
Aesthetically, these pokémon matched the colours of their alternate coloured counterparts in the game. However, the holographic treatment of the cards made it so the Pokémon itself was holographic and not the surroundings. A ruling was put in place with these cards making sure you cannot have more than one Shining Pokémon in your deck at any one time.
Alternate coloured Pokémon were again seen as Pokémon- and as various Shiny Holographic cards in sets from Stormfront onwards.
