For the nineth movie in July 2005, a new Half Deck was released for the card game. Continuing on from the standard set the previous four years, these cards also featured many Pokémon owned by various trainers or places and are Basic Pokémon, thus continuing the Pokémon VS card set. The Pokémon in this set are based upon the Pokémon in the movie; Pokémon Ranger & The Temple of the Sea. As such, this set features concludes the showcasing of the fourth generation Pokémon prior to their release in Diamond & Pearl. This set is also the final half deck to go with the Pokémon Movies.
