Key Items are a very varied and complex batch of items. These items are usually story based and can be used at specific points in the game. Some items give you access to certain areas, some cause certain Pokémon to appear and some just allow you to hold and check other items. These items cannot be given to Pokémon to hold and you can only have one of each item.
