Pokémon Sun & Moon - QR Code Note
As the QR Codes are now being distributed for the distribution of Magearna in Sun & Moon in Japan (through the new movie, Volcanion & The Ingenious Magearna), we now have a bit more insight into how the QR Codes work following from the confirmation that it is region locked. All players in Japan are receiving the same QR Code for their Magearna which means that everyone with a Japanese Sun & Moon game will be able to scan the code and redeem Magearna, acting akin to the shared Serial Codes that are released rather than the unique ones. It's currently unclear if all QR Code events will be like this across the globe but we'll provide clarification for each code for each event when they are released.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Jirachi Event
A new event has been announced for Japan. In the Pokémon Center in Tohoku, to celebrate the Tanabata Festival, a Jirachi is being distributed. This Jirachi is special in that it has the move Meteor Mash, which has only been obtainable through other events in the past but is the first time in Generation VI. It also has the moves Wish, Cosmic Power and Swift. It is being distributed from August 1st through August 31st. Our Event Database has been updated with the details of this event

10:43: The International rollout for Pokémon GO has restarted with the release of the game on iOS and Android in Pokémon GO is now live in Canada! The rollout is continuing but we don't know what will be released and when but the moment that news on that comes, it shall be posted here. Be sure to check our section for the full details of this game, which are still being added to.

This weekend in Japan, the new movie was released in theatres. This movie is the third & final movie of the XY saga and features the Pokémon Volcanion, as well as the new Pokémon Magearna. As such, my friend Gin, of Sunyshore has kindly written a summary of the movies and has allowed us to use it. Be warned however as this contains majors spoilers of the movie. Today, we are covering a Pokémon introduced in the sixth generation. It lets out billows of steam and disappears into the dense fog. It's said to live in mountains where humans do not tread. It expels its internal steam from the arms on its back. It has enough power to blow away a mountain. So, here it is, the one-hundred & forty-second entry, Volcanion.
