Splash Magikarp

A new mobile title has been announced for iOS and Android devices. This game is to be called Splash! Magikarp (はねろ!コイキング) and will be released at some point this Spring. Not much is currently known about the game but the only image we have contains one fisherman and two holes that are shaped like Magikarp. It is being developed by Select Button Inc.. We'll provide full details on this new game as it comes

Pokémon Sun & Moon - Battle Competition

Registration for the next Battle Competition have begun. This is the 2017 International Challenge February competition. This is a Double Battle competition using VGC 2017 rules requiring the Alola Pokédex only. Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Magearna, Necrozma and Zygarde are not allowed. Mega Stones are also not allowed. Registration will be open from February 16th at 00:00 UTC to February 23rd 23:59 UTC and battles will run from February 24th through February 26th. All entrants will get the Mawilite and Beedrillite Mega Stones

Nintendo Badge Arcade

The free piece of Nintendo 3DS software, Nintendo Badge Arcade, had its weekly update in Japan. This week it has once again introduced multiple panels of badges of Pokémon to earn. These panels include various more new Pokémon to the ones previously obtainable. We're currently cataloguing all of these badges and will update our Nintendo Badge Arcade section shortly

Pokémon GO

The Pokémon GO update is now starting to be rolled out on Android and iOS devices. This update adds compatibility for the new Johto Pokémon, adds genders to the Pokémon you encounter including gender differences for Pokémon that have them in the main game, includes new kinds of berries, new items, new customisation options, new UI alterations allowing for the new features and various new character customisation options. At present, Johto Pokémon are not activated.
In addition to this, from later this afternoon until February 28th, Pokémon Storage upgrades will require less Poké Coins to purchase
Edit @ 09:20: Screenshots from the Japanese press pack have also showed the process of evolving with items. The item will be included in the cost of evolution. For example, Scyther requires 40 Scyther Candy and 1 Metal Coat to evolve
19:50: Sprint in the US have announced a special event. Starting tomorrow at 2pm local time, all special Sprint PokéStops will have special lures in the hope of attracting Johto Pokémon to them for all players.
Edit @ 23:03: Johto Pokémon have now been added. We are currently compiling all moves for Pokémon, but our Pokémon Listings and CP Listings are starting to be updated with the details of these Pokémon

Pokémon Duel - Update

The smartphone game, Pokémon Duel, has had a new update. This patch takes it to version 3.0.2 and contains a variety of bug fixes and requires 163MB of space on your mobile device to download. It is required to update in order to play the game
This patch contains various bug fixes, as well as the balance updates for the Mew, Rayquaza, Machamp & Heracross announced yesterday. It also added 11 new figures to the Boosters. The three EX figures are Deoxys Attack Forme, Deoxys Defense Forme & Deoxys Speed Forme. The Rare figures are Reuniclus, Gothitelle & Ralts. Finally, the UC figures are Gothorita, Duosion, Vibrava, Hoothoot & Purrloin
Finally, two new Plates have been added. These are a special kind of plate known as Energy which are affected by Rayquaza's new attack
