Niantic have confirmed that, due to an issue, there will be no Steelix Mega Energy within the Research Breakthrough from January 1st 2022. Instead, from 00:00 local time January 1st to 23:59 local time on January 31st, there will be special Timed Research that will provide 200 Steelix Mega Energy

Pokémon Café ReMix
A few events have gone live in Pokémon Café ReMix to celebrate the New Year
First, from now until January 4th, Shiny Eevee and Shiny Minccino will appear more when you complete orders in celebration of the addition of Shiny Pokémon to the game. Eevee is the current focus until January 1st
A special Appreciation Challenge Card will go live that offers a variety of rewards as you use Golden Acorns to progress
A Training Week event has begun and runs until January 4th 2022. During this, all Pokémon will get the daily experience bonus and will receive double experience
From now until January 4th, a log in bonus will be running that will give Piplup New Years 2022
Finally, two special packs will be available in the shop which give the Pikachu Welcome 2022 and Meowth Welcome 2022 outfits

Pokémon Café ReMix
New orders have been added to Pokémon Café ReMix. This adds stages 551-575 to the game. We're currently cataloguing all these new stages and details so be sure to keep checking back.
Edit @ 07:37: We have updated the Main Orders and Menu Development with the contents of today's update including a balance patch of Orders 1 to 400. The next batch of Orders will be released on January 5th 2022
