Trainer Card

Like previous games, Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver have a Trainer Card. Like the previous games, you can check here to see the badges that you have earned as well as your play time, various Wireless details, when you first beat the Elite Four and allows you to record and save your signature for placement on the bottom of the back of your trainer card.

On the top screen, you will see the badges. Here you can see all 16 Gym Leaders and their badges if you have earned them. After you defeat the Elite Four each time, you will also get another badge that is placed on the left.

Trainer Star & Colours

As introduced within Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire, HeartGold & SoulSilver has your Trainer Card change colour depending on your accoplishments. There are six different colours for the Trainer Card, each dependant on the amount of Stars on your card. The colours are as follows

Red Blue Green Pink Silver Black

You can get the accomplishments in any order whatsoever. Some are easy and you get in the process of playing the game, others are hard to get and require a lot of effort. The methods are as follows;

  • Defeat the Elite Four
  • Collect 5 Shiny Leaves on one Pokémon and speak to Ethan/Lyra in New Bark Town
  • Defeat the records on all 10 Pokéathlon events
  • Get a 100-Streak in the Battle Tower
  • Complete the National Pokédex. You need to capture all Pokémon other than Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Deoxys, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin & Arceus, giving you a total of 484 in your Pokédex.
