Befriending Pokémon

As with most Pokémon games, you can obtain Pokémon in order to build a team to hope progress further through the game. Here, when you have completed a sleep cycle, you will attract various sleeping Pokémon, with the rarity of the Pokémon depending on your Drowsy Power, based on your Snorlax's Strength.

After you have catalogued the Pokémon's sleep styles, it is now Snack Time and this is where you can recruit various Pokémon.

In Snack Time, all the Pokémon you have found will have a gauge over their heads to indicate their Friendship Requirements. Each species has their own requirements, going from as low as 5 points to as high as 30 points and to raise it, you have to give them Poké Biscuits.

Once you reach the maximum amount, the Pokémon will join you and become one of your Helper Pokémon. However, there is a chance that the Pokémon will become full from biscuits before you reach that limit. If it does, the next time that species of Pokémon is found when you wake up, the friendship level will have carried over.

Sometimes, you will get a Pokémon which is labelled as hungry. This Pokémon will receive 3 times the value of the Biscuit to its Friendship Level, so giving it a Premium Bonus Biscuit will give it 12 Friendship Points rather than the usual 4.
