Fire Temple Missions

A Scorching Shower of Flames

Difficulty: 1
Recommended Level: 9+
Time Limit: 06:00

The first mission in the Fire Temple has you searching the area for 5 Magby. These Magby should be easy to capture so you won't have much to worry about. There are numerous chests around the area allowing for you to get more time and health. Once all Magby are captured, the Warp Tile to the end is unlocked. The guard uses a Magmortar so if you have levelled up your Piplup, you should have relative ease here with its Bubble assist. Magmortar's attacks include the standard flamethrower and explosion. However, after he has raged, you will then be subjected to an attack where Magmortar walks around the field leaving loads of explosions in its wake.

Which Switch Is for Mime Jr.?

Difficulty: 1.5
Recommended Level: 11+
Time Limit: 09:45

The next mission has a long time in order to do it. This is due to the fact that there are very few Clocks to be found in chests. Your task here is to find six Mime Jr. These are found by standing over random switches and a Pokémon will appear. However, most switches will make other Pokémon appear so be prepared. Once all six have been captured, you can head to the boss room. The boss on this occasion is Blaziken. Blaziken is a very fast Pokémon so you'll have to slow it down. Piplup's Bubble will be able to do this as well as doing decent damage. Blaziken will often use Blaze Kick, sending fire in various directions and cause pools of fire to slow you down.

Shaken by Aggron's Footsteps!

Difficulty: 1.5
Recommended Level: 13+
Time Limit: 07:00

The next mission requires you to capture four Bastiodon. These Pokémon are essentially mini-bosses in their own right and require a lot to take out. The path is relatively linear so you shouldn't have trouble finding the Bastiodon, but be prepared with Pokémon with sufficient Assists. The boss at the end of this one is Probopass. Probopass has several electric attacks including creation of an electric field around it and shooting out balls of electricty. After it has raged, it will start creating earthquakes across the stage reducing the area you can capture in.

Graveler's Terrible Rocks

Difficulty:2.5
Recommended Level: 16+
Time Limit: 05:15

The final mission of the Fire Temple is a tricky one. Here, your task is to capture 8 Pokémon, any 8 Pokémon. There are dozens of Pokémon dotted around the area, so your best bet is to ignore many of the major ones and go for ones like Zubat, Croagunk & Teddiursa. Clocks are scarce in this stage and are found next to Graveler. Your best bet would be to use Piplup here again. Once 8 Pokémon have been captured, you'll have access to the boss room. The boss here is Tyranitar. Tyranitar's attacks are varied and include creating gigantic mountainous earthquake residuals and creating dark puddles in the ground. After it has raged, it will also start dropping rocks down. Capture it and you'll complete the Fire Temple.

Capturing Tyranitar unlocks the Tyranitar door in Asari Ruins
