Farfetch'd

Farfetch'd, The Wild Duck Pokémon. It is always seen with a stick from a plant of some sort. Apparently, there are good sticks and bad sticks. It has been known to fight with others over sticks. It always walks about with a plant stalk clamped in its beak. The stalk is used for building its nest. The plant stalk it holds is its weapon. The stalk is used like a sword to cut all sorts of things.

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Farfetch'd would have to be this:

Attacks:

Slash / Return / Double-Edge / Body Slam
Knock Off
Hidden Power [Flying] / Quick Attack / Mirror Move / Feather Dance / Yawn / Wish
Hidden Power [Flying] / Quick Attack / Mirror Move / Feather Dance / Yawn / Wish

Items Attached:

Stick OR
Leftovers OR
Lum Berry

Preferred Trait:

Inner Focus

Preferred Nature:

Jolly

Strategy Using Farfetch'd

Not much to do with Farfetch'd except for using Knock Off. It's tough to switch into anything and even tougher to buy a free turn with such a slow run speed. It'll only outrun bulky tanks and most bulky tanks can shrug off any damage it can try to pull off. Knock Off is generally the best part about Farfetch'd, although it gets some nice extra moves like Feather Dance, Mirror Move (for a good laugh switching into a Tyranitar or Metagross EQing and then Mirror Moving it back) and with the special NYPC moves giving it Wish and Yawn, Yawn being workable with Spikes and Wish being helpful for aiding team-mates and out-stalling Pokémon with seismic Toss as their only offence.

Your offence of choice comes down to chancing on critical-hits with Slash combined with Stick, Return or Double-Edge for power or Body Slam to hope for Paralysis. Hidden Power [Flying] won't see much use since Pokémon taking super-effective damage won't switch in, but it gets STAB so it remains usable. Quick Attack could finish off things weakened Pokémon.

EV Corner:

EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) You want Max Speed regardless. Investing EVs into defences won't see much (if any) reward so you may as well hope for the best damage with whatever offensive methods you use.

Other Optional Sets

Farfetch'd @ Leftovers / Liechi / Petaya Berry
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Agility / Swords Dance / Substitute
- Agility / Swords Dance / Substitute
- Baton Pass

With XD Farfetch'd gets access to Baton Pass, giving it some use in a team. It can Baton Pass (weak) Substitutes, Agility boosts or Sword Dance boosts. It could also Substitute down to trigger the activation fo a stat boosting Berry.

Farfetch'd @ Salac Berry
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Endure
- Flail
- Hidden Power [Flying / Ghost]
- Swords Dance

Sword Dance immediately, then Endure a hit which'll hopefully activate the Salac Berry and give you a shot at sweeping with Flail. Flying and Ghost give you a move to hit Ghost types with. This set's potential is felt most at the end of a battle when you've cleared out your opponent's best tanks.

Strategy Against Farfetch'd

Farfetch'd has some of the poorest defensive, offensive and even speed. In general, provided you don't get hit with some form of surprising strategy or just a well-timed execution of standard strategy. In general, Skarmory shuts this Pokémon down completely, although it won't enjoy having its leftovers Knocked Off.

Contest Moveset

A good Contest Moveset for Farfetch'd would have to be this for the Cool Contest best with Lonely, Adament, Naughty or Brave Nature:

Attacks:

Fury Attack
Featherdance
Peck
Knock Off

Items Attached:

Red Scarf

Strategy Using Farfetch'd

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Fury attack, 2nd - Featherdance, 3rd - Peck, 4th - Knock Off, 5th - Peck/Fury attack
