As you travel around the real world, wild Pokémon will appear and require capture. This is done using the touch screen of the mobile device, and can have the real world as a backdrop using the device's camera. Real life locations are also used as PokéStops and Gyms for battle. An accessory was released, the Pokémon GO Plus, that allowed for play without accessing the mobile device. On November 16th 2018, the first Generation 8 related Pokémon was added to the game. |
