Tropius, The Fruit Pokémon. The fruit around it's neck is popular with children. Tropius loves fruit and always eats fruit. It's growth of fruit is guessed to be due to it's constant fruit eating. It flies by flapping the leaves on it's back as if they were wings. It lives in tropical jungles. The fruit on it's neck grows twice a year

Strategy Using Tropius
Tropius stats are a little on the below average side, HP and attack being its highest stats. But Tropius isn't all bad, it can learn a few moves which may help it.
Although Tropius is a little fragile, and has a 4x weakness to ice types, you shouldn't rule out moves such as swords dance. The move Swords dance will greatly increase its attack power, which should be exploited as its one of Tropius's strongest stats.
I also like Body slam because of the chance of paralysis, which would prove useful if Tropius wanted that extra chance of being faster than its opponent.
The other two moves are basically fillers, Aerial ace gains the boost from STAB which is useful and Earthquake covers types such as Fire.
For its nature, I suggest Adamant, but a nature that boosts speed and reduces special attack is also suitable. The Ev spread is intended to increase its attack and speed, but you could spread them between its defenses to give it that extra chance to use swords dance.
Over movesets could include: Sunny day, Solarbeam, Aerial ace, filler, as to be a mixed sweeper, again Earthquake could be used as a move to cover any steel pokemon that the other attacks don't cover.

Max out the EVs in Attack & Speed for Tropius with any remaining in Special Defense
Strategy Against Tropius
Tropius' Defenses are about equal and both above Average so a Fire, Electric or Ice volley should make short work of this Banana Monster.

A good Contest Moveset for Tropius would have to be this for the Tough Contest best with Impish, Lax, Relaxed or Bold Nature:
