Eelektross, The Elefish Pokémon. With their sucker mouths, they suck in prey. Then they use their fangs to shock the prey with electricity. They crawl out of the ocean using their arms. They will attack prey on shore and immediately drag it into the ocean.
Overview
Eelektross is a Pokémon that truly shows how important Speed is in the competitive scene. Solid stats all around and an amazing movepool makes it a terrifying threat in the lower tiers but is held back by low Speed similar to Pokémon such as Snorlax. Overall however Eelektross plays an important part in PUs metagame as an offensive pivot and bait for walls due to its mixed potential and coverage.
Positives
Utility - Eelektross is a very versitile Pokémon to consider when teambuilding as it fills the role of both a tank and offensive pivot in one slot. This combined with Eelektross` insane coverage options means it can handle a lot of threats and threaten away a lot of Pokémon due to its 110 base Special Attack and 115 Attack.
Negatives
Speed - Eelektross has decent stats in all areas bar Speed which is 50. This is often a big let down for the eel as it allows it to be revenge killed quite easily. This also means Eelektross can be worn down quite quick as it wants to pivot in but with no recovery and bad Speed to aid this often puts it on a timer.
Abilities
Levitate - Immune to Ground attacks - While a more offensive ability would be nice, Levitate is a huge boon for Eelektross as it negates its only weakness is Ground, making it take neutral or resist everything else.

Quiet Nature
Volt Switch is the core move of the set as it allows Eelektross to pivot around and threaten/bait things in and Pursuit trap specific things. Giga Drain is Eelektross` only source of recovery and gives it a great option for Ground types such as Mudsdale and Rhydon. Flamethrower is another coverage option to hit Grass types that would sponge Volt Switch. Finally Knock Off is an option for the last slot as a catch all move but Thunderbolt is an option for more Electric damage as well as a general move that keeps Eelektross in.
Other Options
Expert Belt - Eelektross is a Pokémon that was made for an Expert Belt as its massive coverage is insane. Assault Vest is overall better however due to more bulk.
Partners
Skuntank - Good bulk and access to Pursuit, Skuntank can combo with Eelektross to trap and chip away at some bulky Pokémon that can be an issue as well as trap Exeggutor. A shared weakness to Mudsdale is annoying but Eelektross can wear it down enough for Skuntank to not care later.
Countering Eelektross
Strong Physical threats - Due to having an Assault Vest, Physical Defense is often on the weaker side for Eelektross. This can be an issue with some of the powerful physical threats in PU such as Kangashkan and Pinsir. Pinsir is particularly rough for Eelektross as Mold Break negates Levitate and thus threatens with Earthquake.
Dragon types - While few are in PU, Dragons such as Drampa and Silvally Dragon can sponge all of Eelektross` moves bar Knock Off and can threaten it with powerful Draco Meteors.
