Solrock

Solrock, The Meteorite Pokémon. It is a new species of Pokémon said to have fallen from Space. It floats in air and moves silently. In battle, it releases a bright light. Sunlight is the source of it's power. It is said to be able to read the emotions of others. It gives off heat while rotating it's body. It absorbs solar energy during the day

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Solrock would have to be this:

Attacks:

Cosmic Power
Toxic
Rest
Rock Slide

Items Attached:

Chesto Berry OR
Leftovers

Preferred Nature:

Impish

Strategy Using Solrock

Solrock, the counter part Pokemon of Lunatone, this Pokemon specialises in the Attack and defense stats. I'm sure you're sick of the sweepers that have been cropping up quite recently, so its tanking time.
Anyways, Cosmic power is a must to raise those defenses and with EV's into those defenses, it should help out.
Add Toxic there to inflict a status condition that will eventually knock out your opponent.
If you do recieve some HP damage, you should use Rest to recover that lost HP and if you want to wake up early from the sleep condition, chesto berry will cure it.
For the last move, I suggest Rock slide, simply because of its usefulness if Solrock becomes your last Pokemon. But if you want a different move in the moveset, you can replace Rock slide with a similar move that may cover more weaknesses.
To beat Solrock, go after its weaknesses and its weakest defense stat, which is Special defense, so grass and water moves will be good.
Overall, this is an average Pokemon with good potential, nice tanking and physical sweeping abilities.

EV Corner:

Max out the EVs in Defense & Special Defense for Solrock with any remaining in HP

Strategy Against Solrock

Solrock's Defenses are both above average, but it's Special is lower so a Special Volley should work aswell as Dark, Water & Grass Attacks.

Contest Moveset

A good Contest Moveset for Solrock would have to be this for the Cool Contest best with Lonely, Adament, Naughty or Brave Nature:

Attacks:

Sunny Day
Solar Beam
Explosion
Double Team

Items Attached:

Red Scarf

Strategy Using Solrock

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Sunny day, 2nd - Solarbeam, 3rd - Sunny day, 4th - Solarbeam, 5th - Explosion/Double team
