There is a lot to see and do in the city, but not everything can be done yet. For example, the man in the house by the Pokémon Center will trade you a Jynx for a Poliwhirl, which you won't be able to get until later on in the game. You can't buy a Bike from the shop either. After healing your Pokémon, it's time to visit the gym. Any grass or electric-type Pokémon will tackle Misty's water Pokémon. When you have finished beating her cronies go up to her and you'll challenge her to a battle

Bulbasaur

Pikachu must be really, really happy (train it all the time, give it potions, have it in your first slot) before Melanie will give you Bulbasaur. Go to Melanie's hut, next to the Pokémon Center, and talk to her. Say you'll take care of Bulbasaur, and it's yours!!!

Misty	Staryu Lv. 18	Starmie Lv. 21

After taking her Pokémon to the Cleaners, she'll give you TM11 Which is BubbleBeam and her Cascade Badge. This badge will allow you to use the Cut ability once you have the HM and it also makes Pokémon up to level 30 obey your every command. Once again, heal and get ready for another tense battle along Routes 24 and 25
