In The Movies Department
Pokémon: Detective Pikachu
The live action movie, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, starring Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton is now out in most of the world. With select showings this weekend depending on cinema chain in your country, you'll be able to obtain a special Detective Pikachu Promotional Trading Card.
With this, we have also updated our Cinematic Pokédex with further detailed elements of the Pokémon seen in the movie. Be warned as this section does contain major spoilers for the movie, though the Pokémon listing will remain in a spoiler tag until Monday but the Cinematic Pokédex has no spoiler tags. We'll be continually updating this over time, with background Pokémon being discovered on each viewing and will be fully added with the home release later this year so let us know if you feel we've missed any.

Pokémon App
During DeNA's investor briefing, with thanks to Takashi Mochizuki for reporting it, it was announced that they are working with The Pokémon Company for a new mobile app that will be released by the end of March next year. DeNA have previously worked with Nintendo on various mobile titles including Fire Emblem Heroes, Miitomo, Super Mario Run, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and the upcoming Mario Kart Tour. Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon - Nidoqueen
A new event has been announced in Japan. If you attend the Pokémon Japan Championships 2019 on June 8th or 9th, you'll be able to download a special Nidoqueen to Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon based on the Nidoqueen used by the champion of the 2018 Japan Championships. Our Event Database has been updated with the known details of this event

Pokémon GO
Pokémon GO is starting to roll out the next version. This version 0.143.0 is now rolling out on Android with an iOS release expected in a few days. This update is said to contain various Bug Fixes but no major updates have been made apparent.

Pokémon Sun & Moon - TCG Set Announced
The Pokémon Company have officially announced the next Pokémon Trading Card Game set in Japan and have started revealing cards for it. This set is called Miracle Twin and will release in Japan on May 31st 2019. As such, our card listing and the associated Cardex have been updated with the details of this set with translation help from Riyu. In addition to that, a new Tag Team GX focused Starter Deck was announced with its own unique cards so a section has been opened for that as well
