Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This is the Year of the Rat event and runs from Friday at 21:00 UTC to February 3rd at 21:00 UTC. This event includes increased spawns of Red Pokémon, as well as Gyarados with Gyarados' Shiny form being available in the wild. It also adds various Red Pokémon to 7km eggs including the introduction of Darumaka. The event adds Gifts having the chance of giving Rare Candies, increased Lucky Friend Chance and increased Lucky Trade change
In addition to that, there's a Limited Research Day on February 2nd from 2pm to 5pm local time which adds Minccino to the game including its shiny variant. It adds increased spawns of Rattata, Raticate, Pikachu, Sandshrew, Nidoran?, Nidoran?, Sentret, Marill, Zigzagoon, Plusle, Minun, Bidoof, and Patrat and adds Minccino to 5km eggs

Pokémon Mewtwo Strikes Back EVOLUTION
The Pokémon Company International have finally announced that the movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution, will hit Netflix on February 27th 2020 globally, except for Japan and South Korea. This movie is a 3D CG remake of the original movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back and features a retelling of the story with a new look.
