Seel

Seel, The Sea Lion Pokémon. The horn on it's head is used for bashing big blocks of ice. It loves Cold Conditions. It swims in a climate of about 14 degrees Fahrenheit. It cannot walk on land but it's a graceful swimmer. In daytime it is often asleep on the seabed in shallow water. It's nostrils close when swimming. It's light blue fur protects it from the cold. It loves iceberg filled oceans. It hunts for prey in the sea underneath sheets of Ice. When it needs to breathe, it breaks holes in the ice.

Battle Moveset

A Good Moveset for Seel would have to be this:

Attacks:

Encore
Ice Beam
Substitute
Toxic

Items Attached:

Leftovers

Preferred Nature:

Bold

Strategy Using Seel

Seel has better stats in defense and HP, although they are still low. This pokemon also has a small movepool and there isn't much to work with. Encore can be learnt through breeding and is quite annoying to your opponent, who may make a mistake and use a move that Seel has a resistance too, making it repeat for 3-6 turns. Toxic makes a re-appearance on Seel, since it badly poisons your opponent it is quite useful(watch of for pokemon with Synchronize). Substitute allows for more turns to pass without Seel receiving too much damage, this allows Toxic to do more damage in the process. Ice beam, is a last resort move, if this is your last pokemon on your team then you'll have to rely on Ice beam to do the majority of damage. Ice beam covers its Grass weakness and has a chance of freezing your opponent, which will also give you more time to attack. The EV's are focused on increasing Seel's ability to stay in battle, with these, Seel should be able to survive more hits. Make sure you evolve this pokemon to take full advantage of its stats and maybe replace one move with surf when it does. Overall, Seel, as an un-evolved pokemon, will have trouble against some of the faster, special sweepers commonly used.

EV Corner:

Max out the EVs in HP for Seel with any remaining in Defense & Special Defense

Strategy Against Seel

Seel has average defenses but the phyiscal is weaker, so your best bet here is to attack with Physical Attacks or Super Effective attacks
