Strategy Using Azurill

Azurill is a very weak Pokémon. The only true use it has is to Attack the stats of the Pokémon as it cannot do much damage to the opponent. Using Charm you are able lower the attack of the Pokémon. With Sing it puts the Opponent Asleep. Surf to attempt to do damage and Rain Dance to power up Azurill's and any other Pokemon with a Water Move's Move. The Quick Claw is there to make it so you could possibly get a hit in like Sing or Charm

Strategy Against Azurill

Azurill is a pre-evolved Pokémon which makes it have really weak Defense, so your best bet is to get a semi-powerful strike in or play on it's Fighting Type Weakness

Strategy Using Azurill

Surf is good for getting a few points in a pinch. Attract is also good when you have first go as it will make all Pokémon after you nervous and thus lose points. The rest are high scoring attacks and Should work fine

Animé Appearences

Azurill has had several Animé appearences...but only 4 are non-cameos. In The short, it was one of the Pokémon that was playing Hide & Seek with Pikachu and hid in the water. In the 2nd episode of Hoenn...May tried to catch one unsuccessfuly. In the first Special, Pichu Bros. & co. were chasing a Kecleon who had stolen an Apple and found that it was taking care of a sick Azurill, which was Azumarill's Niece. In the second Special, Azumarill's Niece, Azurill had gone missing and was pestering Meowth when Meowth was trying to get a Skitty to like it.
