The Best of XY promo set was released to provide reprints of a variety of what many consider to be the best cards in the Pokémon Card Game XY series. With this, many cards got a reverse holo variant, which wasn't commonly seen in the cards as well as the addition of a few cards such as Lucario Spirit Link which allow the balance of Mega Evolutions to continue. In addition to this, a few EX cards got full-art cards which they previously didn't get during their initial run.
