Pokémon Fossil Museum |
Duration: July 4th 2021 - ??? Originally announced in 2021, the Pokémon Fossil Museum is a touring museum exhibit in Japan throughout various Natural History museums which integrates Pokémon into the exhibits. By using the origins of various Fossil Pokémon, it often compares it with their real life counterparts. Each location often has different displays to the other one so one museum may have a fossil that the others do not. Fossil Displays |
The main exhibit seen at the Pokémon Fossil Museum are the life-size skeletal models of the various Fossil Pokémon. All the Fossil Pokémon are on display near their real life counterparts and showcase their various skeletal structures as if they were real fossils on display. Replicas of their fossil items were also sometimes on display |
Artwork Display |
Throughout the exhibit, near the dinosaurs that influenced the Pokémon, you can find artworks comparing the Pokémon with their inspiration, talking about how they evolved in time. There is also signage talking about the items in the game, how to get them and more. These are walked through by various characters that got introduced at the museum: Professor Kaseki and his associates Professor Aiba, Profesor Ichida, Professor Endou and Professor Dekagawa |
Merchandise |
Alongside the exhibit there's a special Museum Gift Shop. This Gift Shop contains a variety of special merchandise which includes plush, keyrings and other commemorative items, as well as selling various other items from Pokémon Centers across Japan The merchandise is limited supply and rotates in and out of stock |
