Pokémon ORAS - Special Events
For those of you who are attending Gamescom in Germany from August 5th to August 9th, several new Serial Code events have been announced. At Gamescom, you will receive a code card that gives you access to 2 Pokémon for your Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games. These Pokémon are selected by Game Freak Battle Director Shigeki Morimoto, competitive ready and are the following
Aromatisse with Trick Room,Heal Pulse, Disable and Moonblast while holding the Babiri Berry and the ability Aroma Veil
Malamar with Superpower, Knock Off, Facade and a move listed that translates to Rock Slide but isn't the official name, the item Assault Vest and the ability Contrary
Sableye with the moves Calm Mind, Will-O-Wisp, Recover & Shadow Ball with the item Sablenite and the ability Prankster
Bouffalant with the moves Head Charge, Facade, Earthquake and a move listed that translates to Rock Slide but isn't the official name, the Choice Band item and the ability Soundproof.

Pokémon ORAS - Battle Competition
Battling for the latest Battle Competition has been begun. This competition is called the Circle of Legends and is only for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire and is a Rotation Battle competition. In this competition, you can only use Legendary Pokémon: Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Regirock, Regice,Registeel, Latias, Latios, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Dialga, Palkia, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Landorus, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde or Diancie. The competition runs until the end of July 26th. All entrants receive 1000 PokéMiles

Pokémon Shuffle - Events
The next Pokémon Shuffle event stages has begun its repeat run. This stage is the Kyogre stage and will run for the next week until July 31st at 06:00 UTC. This provides another chance to get the rare Legendary Pokémon Kyogre. Each Pokémon of Kyogre, Groudon and Rayquaza will repeat each week, and then again after Rayquaza up until September 9th

Pokémon App
The currently Japan-only iOS & Android app, Dancing! Pokémon Band!, has received a new update. This update adds a variety of new features including Mewtwo as a playable character, as well as the addition of two new songs: Getta BanBan, the current opening theme to the anime, and the track from Pokémon X & Y: Battle - Wild Pokémon. It also includes a new backdrop for the game featuring the beach. It also includes a special new dance for GaoGao All Stars. This update is free to download

Pokémon Video Game Championships
The Boston Open has been announced. This competition is a side event running during the Pokémon World Championships held in Boston from August 21st through 23rd, specifically starting on Saturday August 22nd for both TCG and VGC players.This competition is open to up to four flights of 128 Masters, 64 Senior, and 64 Junior Division players and will culminate in Best-of-One finishers on the Sunday. This competition will allow for CP to be earned with the CP equivalent to that of a Regional Competition and it counts towards the Regional Best Finish Limit. We'll bring more as it comes

Hoopa & The Clash of Ages
This weekend in Japan, the new movie was released in theatres. This movie is the second movie of the XY saga and features the Pokémon Hoopa, Rayquaza and a massive amount of Legendary Pokémon. As such, my friend Gin, of Sunyshore has kindly written a summary of the movies and has allowed us to use it. Be warned however as this contains majors spoilers of the movie.
