amiibo |
amiibo are the new feature brought into Nintendo games beginning with Super Smash Bros. for Wii U with a patch for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS released in 2015 to allow for compatibility. These figures can be scanned into the game and act as computer fighters that you can train. They are scanned by placing the figure on the NFC square of the Wii U GamePad or the bottom screen on the New Nintendo 3DS
When scanned in, you can regisater it to a Mii and nickname it. This helps it become yours. From there, you can train it in battles against you or computer players to level it up. If you play as the same character, it learns the moves better and it adapts to your play style. If you don't use items when training it, it won't know what to do with items. If you just use one move, it will focus on that move. They can be raised up to Level 50 where they are the strongest and smartest they can be, based on your training.

amiibo Customisation |
There's more to it, however. In addition tojust training your character, you have the ability to feed them equipment that you collect during your Super Smash Bros. gameplay. This equipment will boost and hinder various stats in order to make your character completely unique, much like the standard character customisation
In addition to that, you can also assign custom moves to your amiibo rather than the standard Special Moves, making it the best it can. .
