Details
Mario Galaxy is a rather basic stage with its own unique function. Following the fact it is based on Super Mario Galaxy, which had loads of small planets to navigate, the stage is based on one of those planets and so is curved, but rather than being based on a hill, the gravity changes with the curve meaning if you're shot up, it will appear diagonal. On the standard stage, there are no areas to be knocked down so you can walk off the stage.
