Today marks the fourty-fourth entry into the Generation VI competitive field with a Unova Pokémon. These entries are created by the visitors for the visitors and then compiled by our writers Miror, Archangel, Ragnarok, KingTorterra, jesusfreak94 & UR2L8. To get involved, Click here for the discussion forum Today, we are covering a Pokémon introduced in the fifth generation. It races through narrow caves, using its sharp claws to catch prey. The skin on its face is harder than a rock. It warms its body by absorbing sunlight with its wings. When its body temperature falls, it can no longer move. It runs through the narrow tunnels formed by Excadrill and Onix. It uses its sharp claws to catch prey. So here it is, the fourty-third entry, Druddigon.

Pokémon XY - Mega Evolution Act 2
During todays episode of the Japanese variety show, Pokémon Get☆TV, it was revealed that the much anticipated special, Pokémon Mega Evolution ~Act 2~ is to air in Japan on November 6th 2014. In addition to that, Mega Sceptile will be introduced in the anime on September 4th. Details of this are not currently known but will be posted as we get it.

New Nintendo 3DS Models
During today's Nintendo Direct, it was revealed that a new Nintendo 3DS model is to come out. These two models called "New Nintendo 3DS" and "New Nintendo 3DS LL" have more RAM in it, more shoulder buttons, built-in NFC on the bottom screen and most notably, a second small circle pad on the right. It also has a wider viewing angle
Edit @ 12:30: It will be released in Japan on October 11th 2014. The New Nintendo 3DS will be 16,000¥ while the new Nintendo 3DS LL will be 18800¥. International release is not currently known
Edit @ 15:48: It has been confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS title, Pokémon Tretta Lab will not be functional on the new Nintendo 3DS and new Nintendo 3DS LL systems. This is due to the requirement of the special peripheral. required for the game to function, not matching the size of the new consoles. Support for this title previously ended in March 2014 when the Pokémon Tretta arcade game shifted to a new series.

It has been revealed that Japan is to receive a special Gengar event. This event provides a shiny Gengar as part of their "White Gengar" promotion for Halloween. This Gengar is Level 25, comes in a Dusk Ball, and has the moves Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave (which it can't normally have), Confuse Ray and Astonish. It comes holding the Gengarite. This Gengar is being given at various, currently unconfirmed, stores across Japan from September 13th to October 14th. The Event Database has been updated with details of this event

For those of you in Europe, a load of new details have come about the upcoming release of the Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire games. First, a special steelbook edition is to be released in Europe. In addition to that, UK pre-order bonuses have been revealed.
Those pre-ordering the Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Limited Edition SteelBook from the Official Nintendo UK Store will receive a miniature representation of Primal Kyogre, whilst those ordering pre-ordering the Pokémon Omega Ruby will receive a miniature representation of Primal Groudon. Both are ideal as collectibles for fans.
Those who pre-order either Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire as a standalone game from GAME will receive one Legendary Figurine of either Primal Groudon (Pokémon Omega Ruby) or Primal Kyogre (Pokémon Alpha Sapphire).

Pokémon X & Y - PokéBall Vivillon Distribution
For those of you in Europe & Australia, the special PokéBall Pattern Vivillon is currently being distributed to Pokémon X & Y titles. This online distribution is only available for a very short time, until September 8th so be sure to download it while you can. This event matches the one that was at Gamescom earlier this month, and the one distributed in North America to tie in with the opening of the online Pokémon Center.

Pokémon X & Y - Charizard Distribution
For those of you in Germany, a new event is running from this week in Gamestop stores across the country. This event offers a special serial code that allows for the download of Charizard, with a Charizardite Y if you're playing Pokémon X or a Charizardite X if you're playing Pokémon Y. This event mirrors the event that was held in GAME in the UK last month and in Japan earlier this year. Exact timings are not clear on this, with the official site saying it began Monday, while the Global Link says it runs from September 2nd to September 30th. We'll bring more as it comes

The next Battle Competition has been announced. This battle competition is the Fairy Face-Off and is an international competition. This tournament is a Single Battle competition that requires you to use Pokémon that are in the National Pokédex within your team. However, there is a further twist. You can only use Fairy-type Pokémon in this competition, except for Xerneas and Diancie. Pokémon are lowered to Level 30 for this competition and you cannot use Pokémon that were transferred from Generation V. Registration runs from September 18th until September 25th while the competition runs from September 26th until September 28th 2014. All participants will receive the 1000 PokéMiles as a present

On Twitter, Pokkén Tournament's game producer, Katsuhiro Harada, confirmed a new bit of information for Pokkén Tournament. This bit of information confirmed that not all of the Pokémon that are to be in the game will be of the Fighting-type, opening the game up to even more possibilities. During the special stream of "Monthly Famitsu feat.", a new game was revealed by The Pokémon Company president, Tsunekazu Ishihara. This game is Pokkén Tournament and is in development by Bandai Namco with producers from both Tekken and Soul Calibur series. Info is being continually added so keep checking back

Pokémon Art Academy has had a release full release date given for North America. This game will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on October 24th 2014. This game came out in Japan in June and Europe in July and has you play through various art tutorials featuring Pokémon, and allowing for you to share your creations on Miiverse. Battling for the current Battle Competition has begun. This battle competition is the Pikachu Tournamentchu and runs just for Japan. This tournament is a Triple Battle competition that requires you to use Pokémon that can evolve in the Kalos Pokédex within your team. So you can use Pokémon like Pikachu, Charmeleon, and Rhyhorn, but not Kangaskhan, Charizard or Klefki. You need to have a Pikachu on your team to participate and all Pokémon are lowered to Level 30 for the tournament. No Pokémon can be entered holding the Eviolite item and Pokémon must be Kalos Native. The competition runs from August 22nd until August 24th 2014. All participants will receive the Light Ball as a present

Pokémon - New Project
It has been announced that a special stream is to be held on August 26th at 10pm JST (2pm BST, 9am EDT) called Monthly Famitsu feat. Pokémon Special on NicoNico. It is not known what this project is, whether it's a game, a new manga etc., but they say it's a surprising announcement. This stream will be hosted by Ayana Tsubaki & Bunbun-maru and features special guests Tsunekazu Ishihara, president of The Pokémon Company, as well as Nobuhiko Okamoto & Aoi Yuuki, who voiced Iris in the anime, and two currently unknown special guests. We'll provide details as soon as possible.

For those of you in the United States of America, the new event is now running in Gamestop stores. From today to August 31st, you will be able to go to Gamestop and receive a Serial Code. When you enter this Serial Code into Mystery Gift, you will then download the Heracronite in Pokémon X or Pinsirite in Pokémon Y. This event is running in conjunction with the event currently running over the Internet in North America. Be sure to get yours before it ends

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Mega Audino
During Gamescom today, a special video by Junichi Masuda was shown. In this video, Junichi Masuda revealed that Mega Audino is to come to the Pokémon games. It confirms that it has the Healer ability and that it gets the Defense and Special Defense boosts. The trailer also shows that it learns Misty Terrain, a move Audino didn't have before this game.

Pokémon X & Y
The next Battle Competition has been announced. This battle competition is the Diamond Storm and is only announced for Japan. This tournament is a Single Battle competition that requires you to use Pokémon that are in the Kalos Pokédex within your team. In this competition, you need to have the Pokémon Diancie in your team, but cannot use Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde of Mewtwo. Pokémon are lowered to Level 50 for this competition. Registration runs from September 4th until September 12th while the competition runs from September 12th until September 15th 2014. All participants will receive the 1000 PokéMiles as a present

Registration for the next Battle Competition has begun. This battle competition is the Pikachu Tournamentchu and runs just for Japan. This tournament is a Triple Battle competition that requires you to use Pokémon that can evolve in the Kalos Pokédex within your team. So you can use Pokémon like Pikachu, Charmeleon, and Rhyhorn, but not Kangaskhan, Charizard or Klefki. You need to have a Pikachu on your team to participate and all Pokémon are lowered to Level 30 for the tournament. No Pokémon can be entered holding the Eviolite item and Pokémon must be Kalos Native. Registration runs until August 22nd while the competition runs from August 22nd until August 24th 2014. All participants will receive the Light Ball as a present

Pokémon X & Y - Special Battle Season 6
As announced several months ago, Pokémon X & Y's Special Battle in Season 6 of the Rating Battles is to run a Double Battle where the most used Pokémon of Seasons 1 to 4 and half of Season 5 are banned. All other rules are standard Double Battle rules. Today, the ban list has been revealed. During Season 6, which runs from September 8th, you will not be able to use the following Pokémon: Charizard, Gengar, Kangaskhan, Gyarados, Tyranitar, Mawile, Salamence, Garchomp, Togekiss, Rotom, Cresselia, Amoonguss, Thundurus, Landorus, Greninja, Talonflame, Meowstic, Aegislash or Sylveon. This is only during the Special Battle. we'll bring more on this as it comes

From August 13th to September 17th, you will be able to download Heracross to your Pokémon X or Pinsir to your Pokémon Y games over the Mystery Gift via Internet. Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire - Details
The Pokémon Company International has sent out a release detailing more about the news that has come this past week. It has also confirmed that the west is to get the Shiny Beldum event from game launch. Mega Lopunny gets increased Attack & Speed, Mega Salamence gets increased Defense and Mega Altaria getsincreased Attack & Special Attack, with a smaller Defense boost
Hordes have also been confirmed to return to the game, with an added bit against trainers. Cosplay Pikachu is confirmed to be separate to normal Pikachu and is the only one that can be dressed up.
Contest Spectacular has also got a brand new feature where you can use the 3DS's camera to implant yourself into the Pokémon Contest stage. Like before, you can gain various fans as your contest successes mount, and these fans can give you various items such as berries and more. Also, this confirms that the creation of PokéBlocks to improve your contest stat makes a return.

Pokémon X & Y - PokéBall Vivillon Distribution
For those of you in North America, the special PokéBall Pattern Vivillon, currently being distributed to Pokémon X & Y titles, is due to end on Tuesday. This PokéBall Vivillon matches the previous one in France, barring the PokéBall its in, and can only be obtained through this event so be sure to download it while you can. Those in Europe can download it at the end of the month.

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming game Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This image furthers yesterdays and showcases more about Pokémon Contests. It shows the in-game images of the Contest Hall, details how Feebas's evolution is based on contests, and confirms that you can Mega Evolve during the contests, which boosts the Excite Meter & Appeal in the Contests, but can only be done when the Excite Meter is full.

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire- CoroCoro Reveals
The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming game Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. This reveals Mega Altaria, who is Dragon/Fairy with Pixilate and Mega Lopunny who is Normal/Fighting with Scrappy. It now knows the move High Jump Kick.
It also confirms that with you change your Pikachu's cosplay for contests, it gets special moves. Pikachu Rock Star gets the move Meteor Mash, Pikachu Ph. D. knows Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star knows Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle knows Icicle Crash and Pikachu Libre knows Flying Press

This competition runs standard unique rules of it being a Double Battle where you can only use 3 Pokémon and have a very short period in which to make your moves. For those of you in Europe & Australia, the special PokéBall Pattern Vivillon has had its online event announced. It has been confirmed that this distribution will run on European and Australian games from August 29th 2014 to September 8th 2014. If you received the Vivillon in the Pokémon Center in Paris or at Gamescom next week, you can't receive it again. This Pokémon will match the previous distributions of it. Pokémon X & Y - Charizard Event
For those of you in the UK, the latest event is due to end on Sunday, August 10th 2014. If you go to GAME, you will have the ability to download a Charizard, either via Nintendo Zone or through a Serial Code if asked for at the till. This event mimics the event that was in Japan earlier this year and offers a Charizard that will come with the Charizardite Y if you connect with Pokémon X or Charizardite X if you connect with Pokémon Y.

Following the reveal of the Heracross and Pinsir events announced for North America on Friday, some clarification has come on the Pokémon Global Link. If you are located in Canada or Latin America, have your Pokémon Trainer Club location listed as Canada and have opted in to the official news letter, then in September, you will receive the Mega Stone serial codes through the Pokémon Trainer Club Newsletter. As with the United States, who get it in Gamestop stores, you will get Heracronite in Pokémon X, and Pinsirite in Pokémon Y. We'll bring more on this, including details when the Serial Code is being distributed, as soon as possible

It has been confirmed through an advert in Nat Geo magazine that two special events are coming to North America. These events are based on Mega Evolutions. First, from August 13th to September 17th, you will be able to download Heracross or Pinsir to your X & Y games over the Internet. In addition to that, if you go to Gamestop stores from August 18th to August 31st, you'll be able to receive a special serial code to download the Heracronite or Pinsirite Mega Stones. We'll provide full details on this event as it comes, including if it is in other regions.
Edit @ 16:02: Heracross comes at Level 50 with the moves Bullet Seed, Pin Missile, Close Combat, and Megahorn and will download to Pokémon X while Pinsir also comes at Level 50 with the moves X-Scissor, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Return and will download to Pokémon Y. Their abilities are random and they both have a set nature of Adamant. The Mega Stone event sends Heracronite to Pokémon X and Pinsirite to Pokémon Y. It has been announced through various distributor listings that the next English TCG set after this month's Furious Fists is to be called Phantom Forces. This set is coming out on November 5th and will feature over 110 cards including Aegislash EX, Mega Manectric EX and Mega Gengar EX. This set is to be based upon the upcoming Japanese set, Phantom Gate. We'll bring more as it comes

Pokémon Symphonic Evolutions Tour
With the beginning Symphonic Evolutinos Tour concerts just two weeks away, a second date has been added during the Washington D.C. leg of the tour, coinciding with the Pokémon World Championships, also in Washington D.C.. This second concert is identical to the first and runs on August 16th 2014 at 20:00 EDT, exactly one day after the initial one. Tickets are available now, so be sure to to check it out if you're in the D.C. area. If you're not, then a third concert is running on September 19th in Philadelphia with more dates coming should the initial concerts prove to be a success.
