Pokémon Platinum - The Arceus Legend
In the issues of CoroCoro and Famitsu, they noted that as well as the Pikachu Coloured Pichu obtained from the 12th movie unlocking some details in HeartGold & Soul Silver (as noted yesterday), the Arceus you obtain will also give you access to a special thing in Pokémon Platinum. After researching into this today, I found that unlike with Shaymin & Regigigas last year, this is not a massive thing such as Wild Pokémon or an ability to form change, but it does give you the complete history of Arceus and the Sinnoh Myths. As such, I have created a page detailling these. Be warned however as they contain spoilers.

Pokémon Heart Gold & Soul Silver
The first details from CoroCoro have been revealed from japanese imageboards. As expected, not many details were given due to the nclearness of the scans. We hope to get clearer scans soon. However, it did show that a new female trainer is to be utilised in this game and not the female one introduced in Crystal. There are more pics showing the Starter following you in places including Violet City & Azalea Town.
Edit @ 16:12 The game also features the area cutscenes introduced in FireRed & LeafGreen that show the area you just entered. CoroCoro uses Sprout Tower for an example, but it is likely all areas will utilise it. The scan also says that the female trainer (or male if you selected female) will serve a Support Role in the game similar to how Dawn & Lucas are in Diamond, Pearl & Platinum
It also appears there is an event in the game that utilises the Pikachu Coloured Pichu, that you obtain by pre-ordering your ticket from the 12th movie, within the game at Ilex Forest, featuring the Notched Ear Pichu as well. We'll bring more as it comes so be sure to come back.

New Game Announcement
Earlier today, in the Pokémon Sunday variety show and it's website, it was announced that, during their episode next week, they shall reveal a world-exclusive bit of news. Their website states this will be done within the Game Area of their show so it is more than likely a brand new game. There is much speculation as to what the game is, with the general consensus being a Gold/Silver remake which does match up with some new figures of Chikorita, Cyndaquil & Totodile being released in Japan on September 19th 2009, but nothing is confirmed yet, so if you see other sites reporting it as a specific game, remember it is not confirmed that it is that game.
