Hailing from Twinleaf Town of the Sinnoh region, Diamond and Pearl were two aspiring comedians who practiced Manzai, a form of stand-up comedy. Due to a big misunderstanding, they embarked on a journey to the summit of Mt. Coronet with the extremely wealthy Lady Berlitz, who mistook them as her bodyguards while the boys believed her to be their tour guide.
The trio soon encountered Team Galactic, a mysterious evil organization who was gathering energy sources and seeking the myths of Sinnoh. It would seem that the three young trainers were looking at an extremely challenging path ahead which not only called for a deep trust between them, but also a little bit of empathy, willpower and knowledge…
