Summary:
After finding out about R and the issues behind it at the PCL, Tim & Pikachu head to Cappucci Island in search of an old scientist from the PCL, John Waals.

Summary:
While feeding the birds in Tahnti Park, Fletchling appears with a letter for Tim calling you to the Baker Detective Pikachu Agency. Mr. Holiday arrives and lets you know that Carlos was working for someone else and they were responsible for Harry's accident. This gets you and Pikachu to start investigating Mr. Waals, the developer of the R material. Mr. Holiday tells you he can be found on Cappucci Island, and Amanda offers to take you over on a boat. While waiting, you learn about the Pokémon Carnival that Pablo and Ludicolo are looking forward to.

Your first task is to find Waal's home. When there you meet Louise Milligan, the resort manager. She informs you where Waal's house is and you look around the island. You'll find an injured Ducklett until a Pokémon Ranger called Milo comes and heals it with a Potion. He introduces himself and then takes you to Waal's house. When you get in there, you'll find Mr. Holiday's lieutentant, Brad McMaster there trying to subdue Mr. Waals. He insists Waals is guilty of the issues nearby with the fog at the lake, causing Pokémon to be injured. .

Summary:
Now you need to go to the lake and get there without using the broken bridge. Investigate nearby people to learn about a secret path, which you then follow it. You need to work out that the path is the same colour through the statues. You start off with the green Tropius statue.
Following that you have to check the statues in the next area but colour has faded so you need to learn the colours of those Pokémon. Then aim for the blue Ducklett statue.
Then, you investigate the next area which has more statues, but you have to follow the pink Pokémon, of which there are none around, except for Shellos who have alternate forms.
You then get to Lake Cappucci where Poliwag are thrown towards you but they learn Masquerain is causing the fog due to being worried about outsiders. They then ease the fog after talking to Feebas. Investigate the area to find Crawdaunt his here, not local to the area, and causing problems.
Investigate the area to find out someone brought Crawdaunt to the lake in a box. This is enough to prove Waals' innocence but Brad implies it could be Waals who brought Crawdaunt there, so the hunt continues.

Summary:
To prove innocence, you need to go to each house to check if Timburr delivered the correct stuff to them. Eventually you get to the lake and Brad insists he has conclusive evidence, his house's symbol in the lake. Investigate nearby to make a donut mark with the wood pieces. You deduce it was planted and then follow Timburr to do a delivery to a mark which leads them to where Crawdaubt is protecting. Feebas protects Milo, but then evolves into Milotic. In the area, you find the flag and Pikachu works out who the culprit is through the odour of the flag. It was Louise.

After Louise is taken away by Brad, you can ask Waals about R. He mentions he was asked by your father two months ago. R was meant to be a drug to heal Pokémon using a Pokémon's cells, the Pokémon Mew but they accidentally used the wrong cells and used Mewtwo's cells, which have the Berserk Gene which is why Pokémon get violent. He mentioned he had a lab assistant at the PCL who also knew about R. He also mentions your father was investigating Fine Park, an abandoned amusement park.
