Route 42
Route 42 is basically lifeless. Alot of surfing to get to Mahogony but it does include the great Mount Mortar.
Deep Inside Mt. Mortar is the Karatae King. If you beat him and have only 5 pkmn on your team he'll give you a Tyrogue. It Is The Pre-evolved Hitmonlee, Hitmontop and Hitmonchan

Deep inside Mt. Mortar there is a item ball containing Dragon Scale. You should be able to get it by following the way to get to Tyrogue. It's at the very top of the map. It is used to evolve Seadra into Kingdra.
Now if you havent already, leave Mt. Mortar and carry on through Route 42 to Mahogony City
