Pokémon Pinball mini is a simple pinball game. Unlike its brothers, Pokémon Pinball and Pokémon Pinball Ruby & Sapphire, it's not a game set on a Pinball table. Instead, rather than using the paddles, you use a Pokémon to direct the PokéBall throughout the stage, and there are multiple different stages with a variety of obstacles.

When you start the stage, you have two possibilities as to where the PokéBall starts from, which changes when you press the C button to use the Pokémon. You can also charge up the Pokémon to create faster hits.

The first 10 stages of Quest mode were available in Pokémon Channel under the game title Pokémon Pinball Petit.

Game Mechanics

Playable Pokémon

There are five Pokémon that you can use as the various Pokémon to send PokéBalls across the stage and each Pokémon has got their own mechanics that can be utilised in order to pass the courses. While you start off with only one Pokémon, you will gain more as you complete the game.

Obstacles

Within the stages, there are often multiple obstacles that you need to navigate in order to get the PokéBall into the specific pocket. Some of these can be bypassed while others cannot. It's best to use these obstacles to your own advantage in each stage.

	Ditto	Stops the PokéBall on contact
	Gravity	Shifts the gravity of the stage to the pointed direction
	Ice Block	Blocks the way. It can only be destroyed by a Power hit
	Out Hole	Will take the PokéBall out of the table and requires a reset.
	Pichu	Grabs the PokéBall and throws it in the direction it is facing
	Water	Comes in various sizes. If the PokéBall falls in, then the stage ends

Game Modes

Quest Mode

Quest Mode is the main mode of the game and provides 70 stages to complete in. Each stage unlocks after the previous stage is complete. There are three different styles of stage that can be played here. Each with a time constraint. If you fail to complete it in the time allotted, you will need to restart the stage

Pocket Stages: This stage has you have to fill the pockets with PokéBalls.
Score Attack: You have to get the PokéBalls into the pockets. You get 1 point for a standard shot or 3 points for a Power shot. If you chain Power shots, you will get 4 and then 5 points per PokéBall in the pocket. The chain ends when a weaker hit gets into the pocket or the PokéBall hits your Pokémon after the initial hit.
Pokémon Capture: You have to capture a Pokémon. It has a set amount of Hit Points which need to be taken down. 1 Point is removed for a standard hit or 3 for a Power hit. Once it's at 0 HP, it has to be hit again to be captured and then the PokéBall has to enter a pocket. If you're too slow, it'll recover with 1HP.

After completion of this mode, you will be given a special new title screen for the game.

Time Attack

Time Attack is a simple mode. You have to do some standard stages, putting a PokéBall into the pockets within a time limit. Your best score is recorded so that you can attempt to try and beat it

Score Attack

Score Attack works similarly to Time Attack, but rather than doing stages where you have to fill the pockets, you instead have to get the biggest score. Your best score and Pokémon you did it with is recorded so you can attempt to beat it
