Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO event. This event is the Water Festival 2019 and runs from August 23rd through August 29th. It includes increased Water-type sapawns inclding more Pokémon spawning around Water. Water-types will appear more in eggs and Kingler/Crawdaunt will have Crabhammer. Finally, shiny Carvanha and Barboach will be added. There is also 2* Hatch Candy and halved Buddy Candy with Water-type Buddy Pokémon
On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time, you’ll be able to encounter Uxie, Mesprit, or Azelf in five-star raids in their respective regions!

Niantic have announced the Pokémon GO Ultra Bonus event for getting all the Global Challenges sorted. From September 2nd for three weeks special bonuses will be in effect
September 2nd - 9th: Increased Johto Pokédex Pokémon and Pokémon previously unobtained in Eggs will be in eggs
September 9th - 16th: A Mythical Pokémon will be available in raids
September 16th - 23rd: Unusual Pokémon will appear in Raids and Kanto Pokédex Pokémon will appear in the wild

A new Adventure Sync mode is starting to roll out, currently available in Australia. This Adventure Sync includes the capability of capturing new Pokémon found while Adventure Sync is active, even while the game is closed

For those players in the Phillippines, PokéStop Submissions are now available for all Level 40 players. This follows on from a gradual rollout across many countries including Denmark and all countries in South America
