The next event has begun in Pokémon GO. From now until 20:00 UTC on Sunday May 5th 2019, you'll have a chance of finding Shiny Meltan when you open up your Mystery Box. With this, from this point onwards, you can now open Mystery Boxes once every 3 days rather than once every 7 days. Shiny Meltan and Melmetal can then be sent to Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee! After the event ends, you'll be unable to get Shiny Meltan and Shiny Melmetal until the next run of an event featuring them.

Warner Bros. has put out a special Behind the Scenes Featurette about the upcoming movie Detective Pikachu showcasing discussions with Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton about the movie and bringin Pikachu to life in the movie.

Pokémon GO has now opened PokéStop Submissions for Level 40 players within the country of Denmark. This follows on from being released in various countries including the majority of South America, as well as Taiwan over the past few months. Further countries in the rollout have yet to be announced
