A new Wild Area Event has begun. Until January 3rd at 23:59 UTC, Magikarp is now in increased Max Raid Battles in the Wild Area. This adds Magikarp with a higher chance of being Shiny. We're currently compiling all the details of this event into our special event section so please stand by
Edit @ 07:37: We have updated with full details of the New Years 2020 Event Den including all rewards. Magikarp raids, in addition to having a high shiny chance, offer many Nuggets as rewards

As it is now January 1st in some parts of the world, reports are coming in of the Giovanni reward in December. Should you complete the The Take-Over Continues Special Research in January, which resets every month, you'll face Giovanni and this month he has Shadow Moltres.

More details have come for the upcoming Hatchathon Event. During the event, players get 2* Hatch Candy, 2 * Hatch Stardust and a few other perks. First Wurmple and Pichu with Party Hats will spawn more from 2K eggs and Pichu from 7k eggs. Pikachu in a Party Hat will be in the wild and Raticate & Wobbuffet in Party Hats will be in 2* raids
