Niantic have announced that Jessie & James are to start appearing in a special Meowth Balloon in Pokémon GO for a limited time. When the balloon comes, you'll be able to battle them and some Shadow Pokémon they have been entrusted. Alongside this, special outfits of Jessie and James are available for free.
There are reports that the Shadow Ekans and Koffing you receive from the battle also have a chance to be shiny

Pokémon GO
The second Pokémon GO Fest Weekly Challenge event has begun in Asia Pacific Regions. This event runs from July 10th 08:00 local time to July 15th 22:00 UTC and features special Timed Research focused on battling and Team GO Rocket in this event. We've currently added all details for this event
Edit @ 21:01: it is confirmed that, during this event, the Team GO Rocket Balloons will appear more often, alongside Poison-type Pokémon and Dark-type Pokémon in raids. Giovanni will now also have Shadow Suicune and the Team GO Rocket Leaders have new Pokémon. We're currently collating those details
On Sunday June 12th from 11am to 2pm local time, Balloons will be in the sky more and you'll get 2* Stardust when beating grunts. You can use the Charge TM to forget Frustration as well

Pokémon Masters
The next event has begun in Pokémon Masters. This event is the Double Trouble event. This event ties in with themovie Pokémon The Movie Coco and adds the Sync pair of Jessie & Arbok. It will run until September 17th
