Niantic have announced the next Pokémon GO events for March 2020.
First, the Research Breakthrough Reward has been announced. From March 1st 2020 at 21:00 UTC to April 1st 2020 at 20:00 UTC you'll get a Ferroseed which gives more stardust
Next it has been confirmed that facing Giovanni in March will result in Shadow Entei being available
There will be three special Raid Weekends. Darkrai Raid Weekend will run from March 6th to March 9th, where you'll be able to find shiny Darkrai. Altered Forme Giratina will run the following weekend, March 13th to March 16th, Cobalion March 20th to March 23rd with Shiny Cobalion and the special move Sacred Sword and Lugia March 27th to March 30th knowing the special attack Aeroblast
A Weekend event will run from March 20th to March 23rd. Normal, Fire, Water, Electric and ice-types will appear more in the wild with Nincada, Karrablast and Shelmet appearing more in 5km eggs. Nincada can also be Shiny. This weekend event will also be accompanied by a brand-new Special Research story event!
A Global Takeover from Team GO Rocket will run from March 6th at 08:00 local time to March 9th at 22:00 local time. Poison and Dark-types will appear more in the wild, including Absol. Skorupi will be available from then. All Team GO Rocket Leader Shadow Pokémon will be available ovver the weekend.
A Psychic Spectacular will run from March 27th 08:00 local time to March 30th 22:00 local time. It includes the release of Solosis and Gothita in Pokémon GO available in the wild and 5km eggs. Solosis will appear in the day while Gothita at night. Abra, Drowzee, Ralts, Spoink, Baltoy, Wynaut, Beldum, Gothita, and Solosis will appear in 2km eggs and Shiny Baltoy will be available.
Thundurus will appear in Raid Battles from March 2nd 2020 with no set end date

Pokémon Championships
Today is the Pokémon Regional Championships in Collinsville, Illinois and the second North American Regional that runs on Pokémon Sword & Shield. This event has hard the largest amount of VGC entrants of any event for years and is to be streamed by The Pokémon Company International in one single stream which will start around 15:30 UTC / 16:30 CEST / 10:30 EST / 07:30 PST and will cover both TCG and VGC.
