Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!
Hidden within one of the screenshots for Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee! was something very unusual. While the trailer for yesterday's news showcased Charizard and Venusaur at Level 75 with the Hit Points they'd have with maximum IVs and no EVs, one of the official screenshots showcased a Charizard with Hit Points that are well beyond the normal range, with it having 320 Hit Points at Level 75, much higher than the 272 Hit Points possible on a Level 75 Charizard with max Hit Points in Sun/Moon/Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.
As revealed earlier this year, the game features a different kind of training of Pokémon replacing the earning of Effort Values with getting point values from using various Candy. This indicates that these Candy Values are going to be working a lot differently to past games. As seen in our exclusive playthrough last month, each candy gives at least 1 stat point in increase regardless of level.
At present the restrictions due to these new Candy Values are not yet known, and it's possible to just be an error on The Pokémon Company's part, but we'll provide full details as soon as they come so be sure to keep checking back
