Pokémon GO
The next Pokémon GO event has been announced. This is the Precious Pals: Taken Over event and is due to run January 23rd at 00:00 to January 25th at 20:00 local time and adds Shadow Thundurus into the game
Team GO Rocket will appear more in PokéStops and Balloons during the event and you can use a Charged TM to have Shadow Pokémon forget Frustration
Team GO Rocket will also use Shadow Chespin, Shadow Fennekin and Shadow Froakie
There will be Field Research to get Fast TMs, Charged TMs and Mysterious Components
A Collection Challenge will be available to get Experience, Stardust and a Rocket Radar

Pokémon GO
The next Pokémon GO Raid Day has been announced. It will run on January 24th 2026 from 14:00 to 17:00 local time, focused on the Pokémon Shadow Raikou
Players will get up to 5 more additional Raid Passes from PokéStops and an Event ticket will be live for 8 more Raid Passes, 50% more experience, 2* more Stardust and more Rare Candy XL

Pokémon UNITE
Pokémon UNITE has announced a new update coming to the game tomorrow. This update will release tomorrow, January 15th 2026
In this update, you'll be able to re-unite with a team you just battled with immediately on the results screen. You will also be able to praise teammates in Quick Chat on the lobby screen
A new Quick Battle mode will be added from January 15th through 28th: Super Magikarp Splash. This mode will allow for you to only use Gyarados and Mega Gyarados Unite Licenses and will have missions to get Gold Emblems.

Pokémon Café ReMix has begun a brand new Special Pass. This Pass can be purchased in the shop and allows for you to earn points to obtain various items including Tarts and Golden Acorns, as well as obtain Magikarp
