Corsola, The Coral Pokémon. It's branches glitter very beautifully in seven colors when they catch sunlight. If any branch breaks off, this Pokémon grows it back in just one night. Clusters of Corsola congregate in warm seas where they serve as ideal hiding places for smaller Pokémon. When the water temperature falls, this Pokémon migrates to the southern seas. If the sea becomes polluted, the beautiful coral stalks become discolored and crumble away in tatters. In a south sea nation, the people live in communities that are built on groups of Corsola. It continuously sheds and grows. The tip of its head is prized as a treasure for its beauty.
Battle Moveset A Good Moveset for Corsola would have to be this: Attacks:
Surf Items Attached: Leftovers Preferred Nature: Bold Strategy Using Corsola Pretty simple strategy, Calm Mind up, attack and Recover when necessary. Ice Beam or Psychic will give you a second attack (and something to Grass or Fighting types with) while Ingrain allows you to block PHaze attempts, although Corsola should never be used outside of NU (although its Rock typing gives it some credibility in UU for walling out Flying and Normal Choice Band attacks) and the likelihood of being PHazed in NU is low, more than likely you’ll regret using Ingrain since it means no switching when a Grass type comes in. Corsola has very poor HP and offences, a bad typing (although not absolutely pitiful) however it has average defences. It also has a decent move pool as well as Natural Cure, so it isn’t all downhill for it. EV Corner: EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 46 SDef Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) These EVs and Nature are just set out to try and make Corsola last as long as possible Other Optional Sets:
Corsola @ Leftovers Pretty self-explanatory, Mirror Coat special attacks and recover when possible. Light Screen gives Corsola a chance to take a Grass or Electric attack and will leave something for the rest of the team if it dies to Critical Hit or something while Ice beam and Psychic can hit Grass or Fighting types as they switch in and give Corsola a back up attack.
Corsola @ Choice Band For some reason Corsola gets a very viable physical move pool. Delibird does NU Hustle-Banding ten times better since it gets STAB Ariel Ace but it’s a nice surprise option for Corsola. EQ Electrics switching in etc. Always keep in mind that Hustle lowers accuracy of all your physical moves so stuff like Rock Blast loses viability (60% accuracy with a chance of only hitting twice and you’d only want to use Rock Slide if you occupied your Hidden Power with Flying. Surf can hit physical walls rather nicely, although most people are gonna be surprised enough by the fact that you aren’t special attacking.
Corsola @ Choice Band Pretty basic stuff, set up and switch or Explode. Generally not too hard to pull off since Corsola gets some easy switch ins on several commonly used Choice Band attacks.
Corsola @ Leftovers Never works against anyone decent at battling. Anything with a stat up move will just set up, Toxic or not and critical this are an inevitable part of battling and if all you do is sit there stalling you should expect them. Ingrain can block PHaze attempts but once more, you generally won’t see much of that in environments where Corsola stands a chance. Strategy Against Corsola Grass attacks, Electric attacks, Ground attacks and Fighting attacks generally do the job. Most bulky water types can out-stall it with ease and have the bonus of Surf hitting for neutral effectiveness. Offensive stat upping handles defensive staller sets, as does Hazing (and PHazing when Ingrain is absent). Contest Moveset A good Contest Moveset for Corsola would have to be this for the Beauty Contest best with Modest, Mild, Rash or Quiet Nature: Attacks:
Rain dance Items Attached: Blue Scarf Strategy Using Corsola If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st - Rain dance/Hail, 2nd - Surf, 3rd - Rain dance/Hail, 4th - surf, 5th - Explosion Locations in Games
