The Mushroom Kingdom stage harks back to the original Super Mario Bros. game in both aesthetics and style. In the middle there is a hole where two platforms sit above. However, when there's weight on the platforms, one moves down while the other moves up until the weight on the lower one causes the platform to collapse. It later regenerates.
There are multiple platforms along the stage and also some pipes. From time to time, a Piranha Plant will come up from the pipe and do damage. When the plant is not visible, you can go to the pipes and press down to travel across the stage, but it may sometimes drop you down into a pipe exit in the middle hole. Finally, sometimes a POW Block will appear which will do minor damage and knock over the opponents.
