Pokémon Legends: Arceus Gameplay
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is different to prior Pokémon games in that it is more of an Action RPG with different elements from the standard main series games. This page will detail the differences between the gameplay and any new gameplay elements

Capturing Pokémon is a bit different to the previous main games. Unlike the main series Pokémon titles, Pokémon Legends has no difference between battle and overworld and so you can encounter the Pokémon and throw a Poké Ball straight away. To approach a Pokémon, you will have to crawl down and be calm and stealthy so it doesn't run away. Alternatively, you can use your partner Pokémon in order to attack the wild Pokémon, much like the standard games, to weaken them for better chance of capture. |

Battles |

Battles are fairly similar to the prior Pokémon games and have you send out your Pokémon and use moves against them to knock out the other. Moves have PP like before and certain damage and types are factored in. |
