Space-time Distortions

A new feature in the game is a Space-time distortion. After you have first beaten Kleavor and gained access to Crimson Mirelands, they will start to appear. Sometimes, when out in the field, you will receive a notice that a space-time distortion is starting to form. From there, it will show up on the map as a small dome with refracting colours. You have five minutes to get to it before it fully forms

When a distortion is formed, you can see its progress on the map as a small circle will surround the icon and increases as time passes. When the circle is fully formed after 4 minutes, the distortion ends.

When the distortion is fully formed, then the Pokémon in it will change and it'll start spawning rare items. Many of the Pokémon that appear within the space-time distortions are exclusive to it, or can only be caught in the wild in it while being obtained through evolution and other methods. There are three rare spawn points which only spawn once, these typically include the exclusive Pokémon such as starters. For the rest of the area, you will get 3 Pokémon spawn and continue to respawn over time

Space-time distortions with rare Pokémon like Starter Pokémon will only appear after you have completed the story.

There is no way to force a space-time distortion to happen as they are random, but they are decided when you enter the area or reset the state or the last distortion ends. Resetting the state of the area by skipping to a later time will reset this and battling a Pokémon or being in a menu will pause the timer

When Dialga & Palkia are active at Spear Pillar during the story, the chance changes for 5 minutes making them more common before the rates match the usual rates at 10 minutes.

When the distortion finishes, the rate resets.

If the weather is Intense Sun, Snowstorm or Thunderstorm when a distortion would be generated, it will skip spawning the distortion and automatically reset the timer.
