The Nintendo Switch was the successor to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This system was an amalgam of Nintendo's home console and handheld devices and acts as a hybrid. You can play the device handheld and transition to docked on the TV instantly with no additional menus. On the main model, the controllers on the side can be detached and used as wireless controllers. Like its predecessor, it has full online capabilities, as well as local connectivity, and has the ability to download titles. The screen on the device itself is also a capacative touch screen and its storage capabilities can be augmented by Micro SD cards
