In The Games Department
Pokémon UNITE
Pokémon UNITE has received a small update which adds a variety of things to the game.
First, the Pokémon Azumarill is now available to purchase in the in-game store. We're currently compiling full details for Azumarill in our Pokémon section for the game. Some new Holowear has been made available as well. The Pastel style for Cinderace is available in the shop while Pastel Style for Wigglytuff is available through special event missions

Pokémon Battle Master
The Pokémon Company have announced a new form of competitive competition in Japan. This is the Pokémon Battle Master competition where players have to show their skills at both the TCG and the Video Games, and when you have achieved enough points you can enter and participate in a final competition
The video games will be entered through an online competition in June. Players will use Sword & Shield and play in the Single Battle format. Players also need to have Pokémon HOME installed and linked to a Nintendo Account to enter
For the TCG, you will earn points from April through June through the City League and Trainers League events throughout Japan. The more points you obtain during this, the better
After both, you need to send in a form with your points to see if you qualify for the finals.

Pokémon Japan Championships 2022
The Pokémon Company have put out some more details on the Pokémon Japan Championships 2022. These Championships will allow for players in Japan to earn a place to the Pokémon World Championships 2022 in London this August. The Japan Championships will run in person on June 11th and June 12th 2022 and will require entry to be earned through a variety of means
For Video Games, the top 150 players who ranked highly in the International Challenge February, March, April Online Competitions as well as the Pokémon Japan Championships Qualifier online competition in June. It will run in Swiss format until the finals which will be Single Elimination
For TCG, the top players in the Champions League competitions in Kyoto, Fukuoka, Aichi and Yokohama, as well as players with the highest CSP ranking will earn an invite. The format is Standard
For Pokémon GO, the top players in special Online qualifiers on April 28th, April 30th and May 8th, as well as winners of competitions in Pokémon Centers across Japan from April 23rd to May 15th will be able to enter. The ruleset is Great League format with a Swiss format until finals which will be single elimination
