To celebrate Pokémon Day, a variwety of additions came to Pokémon UNITE. First, the Pokémon Zapdos was made available as a playable Pokémon. Alongside this, a number of changes came including the addition of a Solo Battle mode where you played stages to earn rewards, and a Panic Parade mode focused around Kanto Pokémon to celebrate the 30th anniversary

As part of their Pokémon Day Celebrations, Pokémon Sleep held a special day only event where thre Drowsy Power obtained from Sleep Research was increased by 50% for February 26th only

As part of their Pokémon Day Celebrations, Pokémon GO held its fifth annual Pokémon GO Tour event, with a focus on Kalos. This event was completely free and focused on a variety of Kalos Pokémon. It also had paid Masterwork Research ticket that gave players a Shiny Diancie and other bonuses with the ticket

To tie in with Pokémon's 30th anniversary, the first ever Pokémon sets made by LEGO were released. There were five sets: Eevee, Pikachu & Poké Ball, Venusaur, Charizard & Blastoise, Kanto Region Badge Case and Mini Pokémon Center

To commemorate Pokémon Day, a special campaign was announced during the Super Bowl to promote your favourite Pokémon. This ran through the AR feature in Pokémon GO as well as across social media.

To commemorate Pokémon Day , many sanctioned Play! Pokémon supported Local Game Stores were given a variety of items to celebrate Pokémon Day, hosting events for the TCG, VG and GO including Learn To Play sessions. Some stores may have promotional items such as stickers as well as a unique Bulbasaur promo card to distribute .
