Summary:
Concerned for the safety of Rachel's friend Jessica, Tim and the others head to Bamboo Borough, where Jessica lives - and where Harry and Pikachu first met

Summary:
Back at Tim's apartment, Sophia is excited that Pikachu is back, having been concerned for him while he was in jail, so had been practicing making the coffee and asked how it was, leading Pikachu to say it was the best coffee he ever had.

Summary:
Tim, Rachel and Pikachu then head to the Bamboo Borough in order to look for Jessica and make sure she is ok. When investigating the town, they hear a cry for help and find Jessica with the Charcoal shop master, who has hurt his back. Relieved Jessica is ok, the investigation into the area continues and Pikachu finds a Berserk Pokémon sign. Thinking it's un-necessary now R has been solved, Pikachu tries to remove the sign but when he does, he passes out and has flashes of memories again.

Summary:
In the past, you now control Harry Goodman as he arrives in Bamboo Borough years ago. Harry wants to investigate the Berserk Pokémon in the woods but needs to get through the locked gate so explores the area to find a key. On talking to the townsfolk, he learns the elevator in the area is broken so claims he will go fix it to prevent the Charcoal master from hurting his back again. Given the key, he goes into the forest where he finds a load of bamboo in disarray, the fence damaged as if two Pokémon had been fighting.

Deeper in the forest, he finds an injured Pancham and goes to help it only for Pikachu to appear and protect the Pancham. Harry insists he is doing good so goes to town to try and find things to help cure Pancham of its injuries and paralysis.

In town, you will get given a Pizza at the Pizza shop, while a young boy will say he will give you a Berry if you go to the forest and get an Oval Stone. This can be found from a Happiny that hides in a bush to the west of Pikachu. Return with the Oval Stone to get the Berry and you will then learn that an Energy Root may be found by a Bunnelby that is digging in the same area. With all three, you make a deduction that giving the Energy Root and Nanab Berry will help Pancham.

After healing Pancham, Pikachu will become happier with you until you hear a cry. Go west and you will find a Hoothoot flying away from the commotion but with no way to enter you investigate the nearby to see how to reach where the Hoothoot came from. The conclusion is made to climb the big boulder up to the hill

As the hill is climbed, Harry sees two people and a Lairon discussing something and gets suspicious. Pikachu calls out to them and so Harry asks them what they are doing. They claim innocence but quickly flee while slamming some R on Lairon. Lairon will attack causing Harry to have to protect Pikachu before the two make their escape.

	Rescue Pikachu	After a Lairon has been set on R and starts rampaging towards Pikachu and Harry, Harry stops the Lairon with some bamboo. Mash the A button to get it to slow down so Harry and Pikachu can escape.

Summary:
Pikachu will wake up and tell you about what he remembered, but Tim concludes it doesn't make sense as Pikachu remembers him getting the key and then meeting Pikachu in the forest.

After this, go with Rachel and Jessica into the forest where they ask for help with ingredients to help out the Pokémon, asking for a Mushroom, an egg and a herb. The herb can be found by finding Shiftry in one of the bushes. The Egg from a Chansey by the lake who is also hiding in the bushes and the mushrooms can be found from a Paras in the path west. Give Jessica the ingredients and Tim will ask her about the photo that Pikachu found and who is in the photo with her. She mentions that they were part of the same project and that she eventually took some research after finding out what was truly being done.

Summary:
The four will then head west towards the main forest area when Pikachu gets a memory of how he was protecting Pancham and didn't leave its side but also went and got the ingredients to heal it, which Tim concludes again doesn't make sense. Soon after the conclusion, Pangoro will appear. Pikachu is happy to see Pangoro again as it was stuck in jail with him earlier on. However, the reunion is soon cut short as they hear a crash where Rachel and Jessica were. They find boulders blocking the way and, with Pangoro's help, you can push them out of the way and continue on. However, the bridge is then destroyed with large Pokémon footprints leading there. Thinking about how to get through, Pikachu remembers there's a storage room nearby and leads you to it. However, when there a gate is in the way, when Pikachu tries to open it, he passes out with more memories.

Summary:
Back in the past, Harry is in the storage room with Pikachu and they decide they need another way out as Lairon is still rampaging near the entrance. Investigating the gate, Harry and Pikachu find the key, which Pikachu goes in to get, allowing Harry entry. Towards the next room there is another gate but a Graveler is sitting in the way, asleep so you need to investigate and find the correct Berry to wake Graveler. With Graveler awake, you get to the broken elevator and deduce Pikachu's Thunderbolt can fix it.

When out of the storage area, Harry & Pikachu get to the kiln hut and Harry deduces the two suspicious men did something to Lairon to get it to rampage. However, the Lairon soon appears and Harry knocks Pikachu out of the way. While Harry is unconscious, Pikachu fights back and manages to calm the Lairon.

With the mystery solved, Harry says his goodbyes and thanks to Pikachu, but Pikachu decides to come with him so Harry gives him a Detective hat and Pikachu becomes his partner.

	Unleash Thunderbolt	After escaping, Harry will save Pikachu again but Lairon appears and goes to charge so, as Pikachu, you need to Mash the A button in order to unleash Thunderbolt to stop Lairon and remove the effects of R.

Summary:
Pikachu will wake up again and tell Tim the story of the memories he just remembered, but again Tim realises it doesn't make sense as he stated about climbing the boulders twice. Going through the storage room, with Pangoro's help to push boulders out of the way, when Tim and Pikachu reach the kiln hut, they find Jessica and Rachel tied up with a mysterious man and a Golem. The man says they've got what they came for and when they see you orders a Golem to attack which Pikachu and Pangoro have to rebuff.

With Golem no longer under the control of the cube, it chases after the mysterious man. With Rachel and Jessica safe, Pikachu and Tim find out they got the data that Jessica had, and Pikachu suggests organising the data in the morning.

Pikachu then recounts more of his memory of the story but Tim again realises it doesn't make sense when Pikachu says he tried to reason with the men. This causes Tim to ask Pikachu to go private so they can talk.

Summary:
Inside the Kiln Hut, Pikachu and Tim have a talk and Tim keeps asking about all the inconsistencies in Pikachu's story. Pikachu also starts realising it doesn't make sense when he remembers both Pikachu's and Harry's roles in all of it especially when he remembers receiving the hat from Harry as well as giving the hat to Pikachu.

Pikachu then remembers the car crash he and Harry was in and that Pikachu was calling out for help when Mewtwo came and mentioned Harry was fading from the world. Mewtwo offers help but that it needs Pikachu's physical form to save him. The two make a deal that Pikachu has to look for Mewtwo's DNA which is being used for nefarious means which Pikachu agrees to.

Pikachu then recounts the story of what happened when Mewtwo and Pikachu met after the R incident, how Pikachu remembered that he was Harry but Mewtwo said that separating now would be a 50/50 chance of survival for Harry and Pikachu. Harry initially agreed to the chance but didn't want to risk Pikachu. Mewtwo agrees but the fact Harry now remembers puts them both in a precarious situation as Pikachu's consciousness will fade if Harry's is too strong, so Mewtwo wipes the memory of Pikachu again to save them both.

With Harry and Pikachu fully remembering the past now, Tim is happy that he found his father and the two reconcile.
