Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Nintendo has revealed the contents of the Nintendo Switch 2 patch for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. It has been confirmed that this patch will include visuals optimised for Nintendo Switch 2 display with improved image quality and will have improved frame rate on Nintendo Switch 2. This patch is due for release on June 5th 2025
Edit @ 06:15: Two screenshots have been released for the patch, showing more Pokémon on screen and increased distance in the spawn radius as well as output in a 4k resolution. We have added these screenshots to our Pre-Release Screenshot page

Pokémon HOME - Distributions
Some distributions have been announced for the Pokémon Japan Championships this year. These events will run on June 21st and 22nd 2025. These events will be distributed via Pokémon HOME at the venue
First, an Amoonguss based on the Amoonguss used by 2024 Senior Division World Champion Ray Yamanaka will be distributed. This Amoonguss has the moves Spore, Sludge Bomb, Rage Powder, Protect and holds a Rocky Helmet. It is currently unclear if this Amoonguss will be distributed to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players through code
In addition to that, eight different medals will be obtainable in Pokémon HOME. These medals will have unique designs matching the artwork of the event and can be shared with other players

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
The latest Tera Raid Battle event is now live in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. This is the second week of the Mighty Metagross event. This event has Metagross appearing in 7 Star Raids with the Steel Tera Type, with Blissey appearing as 5 Star Raids alongside it with Tera Shard rewards. As with other 7 Star Raid Battles, Metagross can only be caught once per savefile
This event runs until May 18th 2024 at 23:59 UTC

Pokémon TCG Pocket - Drop Event
The next Pokémon TCG Pocket event is now live. This event is the latest Drop Event which features special Solo Battles with various rewards and missions to complete. It adds numerous new Promos into the game including an Illustration card for Alolan Ninetales. It runs until May 26th 2025

Pokémon Sleep
Pokémon Sleep has revealed details for the first New Moon Day event, a new style of event that runs monthly around the New Moon. This event will run from May 26th through May 29th. During this event, Pokémon won't get full easily and Shiny Pokémon will appear more
During the event, Darkrai may appear in all stages and Murkrow & Honchkrow will appear
Murkrow and Honchkrow are Dark-type Pokémon that have the Dozing Sleep Type and the Super Luck (Ingredient Draw S) skill which gives an ingredient chosen randomly, or sometimes Dream Shards

Pokémon Sleep has activated the Eureka Seed for Darkrai. This item is obtained by befriending Darkrai during Sleep Research and allows for you to activate a Sub Skill or Ingredient on Darkrai at random. More Eureka Seeds will be obtainable with Darkrai during New Moon Day events starting May 26th 2025

It has been confirmed the Pokémon Center in Fukuoka will reopen on June 27th. With this re-opening, it features a much larger area including a TCG Area and more

The Pokémon Café ReMix A Pair of Toucannon event is now live. This is a Points event that focuses around the Pokémon Toucannon, offering a means to obtain it and power it up with cookies by earning points by completing stages. It runs until May 23rd 2025
