Heracross

Heracross, The Singlehorn Pokémon. Capable of throwing something 100 times it's own weight, it is Usually Docile. It sips honey from trees and if disturbed, chases the intruder with its horn. It has enough power to topple a huge tree. It has sharp claws on it's feet to give it secure footing when climbing trees

Strategy Using Heracross

Heracross is my favorite pokemon, it has a certain spunk to it. As well, it was one of the best physical pokemon in G/S/C. Now, in the age of R/S and FR/LG it has received even more bonuses and the EV system might actually benefit it, along with the new berries. Biggest upgrade for heracross is Swords Dance. There was much debate in closed circles about which was better; Pinsir or Heracross. This was mainly due to Pinsir getting swords dance. Well folks, throw that out the window, because Heracross is now packing the heat. As well, it now gets a good fighting move in Brick Break, or if you want to go agaisnt my set, Focus Punch also is a new and very good fighting attack that this lovely bug uses. Lastly Rock Slide is great for taking our flyers. Dragonite and others are made Heracross' play toy with it on your set. MegaHorn should be obvious, it is one of the best physical attacks in the game and gets STAB, those type of moves tend to be quite useful on a physical sweeper. I find that a lot of pokemon do around 80% to Heracross, giving him way to get his Salac Berry activated and cause havoc throughout the battle. Also, keep in mind this isn't the only set for heracross. Swords Dance/MegaHorn/reversal/endure@salac is also a VERY good choice, but I don't use it personally, I don't know why I don't maybe I am just paranoid about status effects. Heracross is one dimensional, but when you do a dimension as well as he does, you need not more than one. Heracross is actually kind of hard to master IMO. However, it is a great pokemon for beginners because of its raw power. I have gotten into arguments before as to what pokemon in the best in r/s, and I kind of think it's Heracross, a truly top tier pokemon.

EV Corner:

Well, you want to max its attack out so put everything ou can into attack. I'd also put most of the rest in speed but take the time to give a little for defense, just so it'll survive a few of the borderline physical attacks.

Strategy Against Heracross

Well, even achilles, hercules, and random other mysthical heroes had weaknesses, and so does her brave beetle. Namely it cannot, under any circumstances, take a hit from a flying type move. With a move like Aerial Ace that can be used on non flying types, Heracross must tread lightly at times. You will need to learn what types can learn such moves and what the standards are if you are to keep heracross alive, or if you wish it, take heracross out of the battle.

Contest Moveset

The best Moveset for Heracross would have to be this for the Cool Contest best with Lonely, Adament, Naughty or Brave Nature:

Brick Break
Fury Attack
Horn Attack
Hyper Beam

Strategy Using Heracross

If you do the attacks in this following order you should have very few problems; 1st Brick break, 2nd Fury attack, 3rd Horn attack, 4th Fury attack, 5th Hyper beam

Animé Appearences

Heracross has had many Animé Appearence. Most were under Ash's control so I will only state the ones where it wasnt and when its not a mere cameo. First, a bunch of Heracross were in dispute with a bunch of Pinsir. Ash & Co helped it and one decided to join. After that it gets sent to Oaks (In ep 148). Next we see one in a Fire fighting team. After that it is in a Sumo Contest
