When exposed to the moon's aura, the rings on its body glow faintly and it's filled with a mysterious power. Umbreon evolved as a result of exposure to the moon's waves. It hides silently in darkness and waits for its foes to make a move. The rings on its body glow when it leaps to attack. So, here it is, the one-hundred & eighteenth entry, Umbreon.

Detective Pikachu

Following the reveal earlier this week, the official site has updated with new pre-release screenshots and details for Detective Pikachu ~Birth of a New Duo~. We're currently translating details so be sure to check back
Detective Pikachu likes coffee and asks Tim to invite attractive women over for tea, but is weak around them. Detective Pikachu, due to being able to talk, cannot use any moves and isn't very fast.
Mike Baker is head of the Detective Agency. Amanda Blackstone is the office assistant. Amelia Kristi is a new Assistant Director at a TV Station. Meiko Okamoto is a TV Director. Pablo Milan is the owner of the High Hat Cafe.
In the gameplay, you play as Tim as he has interviews with people and gathers evidence with the help of Detective Pikachu. In the gameplay, you walk around Rhyme City. Tim interviews humans while Pikachu interviews Pokémon. While exploring town, you can find spots to investigate. You can look for evidence by using a magnifying glass and moving it around the scene until you find something. If Pikachu notices anything, the bottom screen image of Pikachu will activate. Tap it to speak with Pikachu to get a hint or advice. Finally, there are elements with Quick Time Events where you have to push a button in time to perform an action, such as catching Pikachu after he falls from a tree. If you fail to do so, the following scene changes slightly. It doesn't affect progress, but just changes how things go such as Pikachu hitting Tim's chest rather than being caught. From there, you solve the crimes based on evidence. The example given is to find out where Aipom disappeared to.

Following the reveal of the Shadow Mewtwo amiibo card for Pokkén Tournament during the Nintendo Direct in November last year, it was made clear that each region would have slightly different style cards based on their region's localisation. Before today, we only had images of the Japanese and North American version of the amiibo card but today the first images of the European one were revealed. The European one differs in that it has Shadow Mewtwo's name in English, German, Spanish & Italian rather than just English, but the most notable difference is how the back of the card not only includes the game's English name, but also the German name and logo of Pokémon Tekken. This card comes packaged within the first run of the game and will unlock Shadow Mewtwo immediately within the game when used.

Pokémon Red, Green, Blue, Yellow - Virtual Console Features

The manual for the upcoming Virtual Console releases of Pokémon Green, Red, Blue and Yellow has gone online and has provided a very interesting bit of information. For the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Virtual Console games, there's an option for you to use Restore Points in the VC menu on the touch screen so you can save a position in a game and return to it afterwards in case you make a mistake. However, it is now confirmed that Pokémon Red, Green, Blue and Yellow are unable to utilise the Restore Point feature of the Virtual Console, as well as being unable to use the 3DS's built in save backup feature. It's not stated why these features have been removed for these titles, but it is presumable to be in an effort to prevent the cloning of Pokémon. These are the first GameBoy Virtual Console titles to not utilise the Restore Point feature.
It is also confirmed that, as expected, you cannot access the VC Menu or Home Menu when using the Battle or Trade features in the game. We also have details on how the wireless features specifically work. When you go to the Cable Club, a new menu will appear on the touch screen. The first option is to Connect to a Partner, which sends the signal out while the second option is to Search for a Partner, where it will look for connections being requested
